Teaching/Research
Dr. Adams is a professor in the Department of Accounting. Joining the Chico State faculty in 1982, Professor Adams has taught a variety of courses in accounting, with an emphasis on managerial accounting and cost management.  Dr. Adams has served as interim dean, associate dean and department chair and is a certified management accountant (CMA) as well as a certified public accountant (CPA). Prior to becoming an academic he was a cost analyst for a Fortune 500 company and has consulted for firms in the electronics, retail, and equipment manufacturing industries. He has published in numerous journals in the areas of management control systems and accounting education and co-authored two management accounting text books. Dr. Adams received the joint American Accounting Association/Institute of Management Accountants 1997 James Bulloch Award for Innovations in Management Accounting Education. The Bulloch Award was for the California Car Company case contained in this book. He has also received the College of Business Outstanding Faculty Award, the College of Business Outstanding Research Award, and the MBA Outstanding Teacher Award.

Teaching/Research
Dr. Chiang is a professor in the Department of Accounting, and a MIS Member, CSU, Chico Academic Senate. Dr. Chiang joined the College of Business in 2001 and has taught a variety of courses in the areas of operations management, supply chain management, and quality management. Teaching/Research
Dr. Gardiner is a professor in the Department of Accounting, MIS Project Manager, and STEPS Assessment System Project. Dr. Gardiner joined the CSU, Chico business faculty in 2002 and has taught a variety of courses in Management Information Systems. She was recognized by the College of Business in 2006 for her teaching excellence.
Her research interests include business intelligence and data warehousing, virtual teams, and multiple criteria decision making. Dr. Gardiner has published her work in a variety of journals, including Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Group Decision and Negotiation, Interfaces, Journal of Multicriteria Decision Analysis, Journal of the Operational Research Society, and Managerial and Decision Economics. She has presented her research at numerous conferences organized by the Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO), Canadian Operational Research Society (CORS), Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), International Federation of Operational Research (IFORS), and International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making, among others. 
Dr. Gardiner has delivered presentations for the CMC Graduate School of Business (Czech Republic), Carleton University (Canada), and Systems Research Institute (Polish Academy of Sciences) and was an invited researcher at the Université de Paris.
Since her arrival at CSU, Chico, Dr. Gardiner has taken a leadership position in the development of new data warehouse/business intelligence curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels using Excel, SAP Business Warehouse, and SAP Strategic Enterprise Management tools.  For the last three years, she has conducted faculty workshops related to this work at the SAP Innovation Congress (2005-2007) and in the SAP Alliance Summer Workshops (2005-2007).

Mr. Morgan is a lecturer in the Department of Management. Mr. Morgan joined the CSU, Chico business faculty in 2005. He currently teaches courses in the areas of management and entrepreneurship. In 2007, he was honored by his peers as the recipient of the CSU, Chico College of Business Outstanding Teaching Award.
A successful entrepreneur, Mr. Morgan is the founder of several companies. He currently serves as the founder and CEO of two firms; a company that provides lead generation and direct marketing services for U.S.-based insurance and financial services industries, and a services-based firm that coordinates, conceptualizes, and executes business strategies for affiliate marketing companies throughout the western U.S. and New England.

Mr. Rahn is a lecturer in the Department of Management. Mr. Rahn has amassed more than 20 years of experience in the areas of product development, marketing, and executive leadership. He has served as the CEO of OpenWork, Inc., a company focused on the development of knowledge management information systems. He recently founded Knowledge Companion, LLC., a provider of management training software, and serves on the board of CollegeInvent, Inc.

Mr. Straus is a lecturer in the Department of Management, a Faculty Advisor for the Collegiate Entrepreneurial Association, and a member of the CSU, Chico Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board. Since joining the CSU, Chico business faculty in 2002, Mr. Straus has taught a variety of classes in the area of entrepreneurship. He draws on his personal experience as an entrepreneur to provide students with a balanced curriculum that includes exposure to entrepreneurial practitioners. Mr. Straus is currently the executive vice president of AVL Looms Inc., a global manufacturer and marketer of looms, software, and weaving accessories, located in Chico, California. Mr. Straus joined AVL in 1982 and oversaw a sales effort that resulted in placing product in all 50 states as well as over 83 countries. As president and CEO of the company from 1990 to 2005, he was responsible for the establishment of AVL outlets in the UK, Japan, and Taiwan and traveled extensively on behalf of the company. Mr. Straus has delivered lectures on the use of technology in the textile industry at a variety of venues, including Fashion Institute of Design in New York City, North Carolina State University, Philadelphia University (formerly Philadelphia College of Textiles), the Royal College of Art in London, England, and the Taiwan Textile Federation in Taipei.

Dr. Toy is a Professor of Marketing in the Department of Finance and Marketing. Dr. Toy joined the California State University, Chico facultyin 1989. He has taught a number of courses at the PhD, MBA, Executive MBA and undergraduate levels at CSU, Chico and at Penn State University, University of Washington, University of Oregon, and Willamette College. Those courses include Marketing Engineering, Marketing Research, Multivariate Analysis for Business, Consumer Behavior, Strategic Marketing, Marketing Management, Advertising Strategy, Data Mining in Business and Applied Statistics for Business Decision Making. He is currently teaching Marketing Engineering (MBA and Professional MBA) and Marketing Research and Introduction to Marketing (undergraduate). He has won a number of teaching awards, including national recognition by Business Week as one of the best MBA teachers in the country, as well as other collegewide distinctions, including MBA Teacher of the Year at California State University, Chico, Penn State, University of Oregon, and University of Washington, in addition to a number of undergraduate teaching awards at each of these institutions. 
Dr. Toy's research interests include the impact of green/sustainable residential building practices on energy use, data mining and marketing engineering applications in marketing, and understanding student group dynamics in academic settings. Dr. Toy has written more than 50 published articles in six different disciplines, including marketing, management science, management, accounting, finance, and leisure research. He is also the author of a book titled HYCON: Conjoint Analysis and Choice Simulations in Marketing with Paul Green. 
Dr. Toy was a staff consultant for the Fluid Milk Industry in Washington, DC; the AHMAC Management Group in Philadelphia, PA; the Strategic Management Group in Philadelphia, PA; and ITSMA in Boston, MA. He has also consulted with a number of companies, including Adidas, Caterpillar Tractor, Comcast, Gore Industries, General Motors, and Recreation Equipment Company.  He has been involved in 16 grant projects during his tenure at CSU, Chico. Most recently, he is studying the impact of sustainable homes on energy use in the North State.

Teaching/Research
Dr. Wright is a professor in the Department of Finance and Marketing. Dr. Wright joined the California State University, Chico facultyin 1989.  She received the Marketing Science Institute Doctoral Dissertation Award for her dissertation proposal on the factors affecting the success of new business services.  Her research interests include service quality, new service success, and consumer behavior issues related to green marketing and sustainability.  Dr. Wright has published in each of these areas and has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences.  She is the co-author of a services marketing textbook, Principles of Service Marketing and Management (published by Prentice Hall).  She is a past chair of the American Marketing Association's Special Interest Group for Services Marketing (SERVSIG) and is the founder of the SERVSIG doctoral consortium.  Dr. Wright serves as a Master Teacher for the California State University, Chico campus and acts as a teaching mentor for other faculty.  She has published articles related to teaching and has made many presentations on teaching at both national and international conferences.  Dr. Wright has won three teaching awards and is listed in the 1998 volume of Who's Who Among America's Teachers .  She has taught in the Information Technology Services Marketing Association's executive education program, which provides research and training courses for high-technology service providers.  Dr. Wright currently teaches courses on business communications in the California State University, Chico executive and residential MBA programs. She also teaches undergraduate courses in services marketing and strategic personal selling.  Dr. Wright has been a consultant for a number of companies, including California Prison Industry Authority, DuPont Company, the Environmental Protection Agency, Knutsen Company, IDS/American Express, Simpson Paper Company, and the U.S. Navy.
