Infection Control for License Renewal

As mandated by the Dental Board of California, for license renewal, all dental licensees are required to complete a two-hour course on Section 1005 of the Dental Practice Act in Infection Control. Regulatory Directives, the intent of language and proper implementation of the language shall be explained. All attendees will receive materials to take back to the office and begin using right away. Topics include: Section 1005 of the DPA, definitions, written plans and protocols, precautions for bloodborne diseases and much more. This course provides two hours of Dental Board credit as certified by the instructor/provider.

Instructor Biography:

Ms. Pittman is an approved trainer by the United States Department of Labor to instruct up to 30 continuing education hours in the GISO CFR 29, throughout the country. Ms. Pittman offers courses in Basic-Life Support (BLS) for healthcare professionals and first aid and CPR for the layperson. She is an instructor with the Emergency Care and Safety Institute and has taught at multiple venues throughout Northern California over the last seven years. She is also an approved continuing education provider for the Dental Board of California and has her certificate training in Incident Command Systems (ICS). She is the CEO and trainer of Sierra Office Safety.
