,we will need to ask for a $75 reactivation fee* for all students
who request a deferral to a different session. An updated financial
certificate may be required.
*If a student attends the session he or she deferred to, a one-time credit of
the $75 reactivation fee can be applied to the ALCI tuition of the student's
first session.
Eligibility
To qualify for admission to ALCI, your secondary education must be complete, and financial documentation of sufficient funds for your educational and living expenses must be submitted.
Insurance Requirement
A health and accident insurance policy is required for enrollment in ALCI. You must demonstrate proof of coverage or purchase a policy that meets university requirements. Coverage categories and minimum amounts are as follows: US$50,000 provision for health and accident; US$10,000 provision for medical evacuation; and US$7,500 provision for repatriation of a deceased insured person. You may purchase an insurance policy that meets these coverage requirements during orientation, or you may bring a policy from home which is valid while you are enrolled in ALCI.
Visa Information
It is important to consider your visa category before applying to ALCI. If your primary purpose for visiting the U.S. is to study, you are required to have a student visa (F-1). To obtain a student visa, you must submit a financial certificate as evidence of sufficient financial support, submit an application fee and a completed application to ALCI, and then await receipt of an I-20 from the institute. With you ALCI I-20, you should then apply for a student visa (F-1) at the U.S. Consulate or Embassy. Contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate near you for a visa application and important updates on new immigration regulations.
